The pocket bike chronicles volume 1

Brought out the old 2002 X3 49cc 2 stroke pocket bike after several years of inactivity.

It ran great for half a tank of gas then it died. Nothing I tried seemed to resuscitate it. I determined the problem was 2 strokes suck shit so I got a 110cc 4 stroke midbike to replace it.

The new bike is a Continue reading The pocket bike chronicles volume 1

New “old toy” Tuesday (Transformers Generations WheelJack, Thundercats Lion-O, G.I. Joe SkyStriker)

Today I ran across these three while out picking up some socks of all things. I’ve been on the hunt for the Transformers Generations Wheeljack since early summer. Had all but given up on finding one. The Classic Thundercats Lion-O was all alone and too cool to pass up. At that point my willpower was gone so I threw in the GI Joe Skystriker reissue. I’ve always regretted getting rid of my original and ever since hearing of a reissue I’ve been wanting another.

MP-05 Masterpiece Megatron (Takara Exclusive)

What can you say about the great Megatron, leader of the Decpticons in gigantic toy form that hasn’t been said already? As of this writing I’ve owned this guy for 5 years so consider this a long term follow up. When I originally received MP-5 Takara Masterpiece Megatron it was my second figure of the line and I can still remember how impressed I was. The only other figure of this type I had seen was Hasbro/Takara MP-01 Optimus Prime and that figure was and still is utterly amazing. Continue reading MP-05 Masterpiece Megatron (Takara Exclusive)

Havana Sandwich Shop

One of my favorite places to eat is the Havana Restaurant (formerly Havana Sandwich shop) just inside the perimeter of 285 off Buford Highway, Atlanta. Its a long drive from where I live so I don’t get to visit as often as I would like. Everything on the menu is fantastic but my usual is the #17 Cuban Plate. This visit did not disappoint.

Diamond Select BTTF Time Machine review

I just got my hands on the Diamond Select Toys 1/15th scale Back to the Future time machine. The car has lights and sounds taken directly from the film and is overall a fantastic collectable. The lights are very bright LED type and can be seen very well in any condition. Although made of plastic and painted silver I’m still very impressed by it. In fact I don’t think I would had liked it as much if it were metal like the 1/18th scale SunStar Deloreans… especially what the price would have been. I was able to get this one on sale at Toys R Us for under $20. More after the cut… Continue reading Diamond Select BTTF Time Machine review

Transformers ROTF Buster Optimus Prime

Here we have the awesome Transformers – Revenge of the Fallen Buster Optimus Prime by Takara. There isn’t really much to say that isn’t said better by this photo. The paint is so much better and more detailed than the regular Hasbro release, it has a unique head sculpt, and the fuel tanks form his blaster, and there is chrome plating. I got mine as a gift and I consider myself lucky and fortunate for it. Few pictures of my actual toy as it will be staying in the box. I already have the standard version and I might add some shots of it for comparison later. Until then, you can find plenty of detailed pics and reviews using any search. I’m feeling lazy today.
